Upon arrival at Accra's international airport, you are greeted by a sign that says “Akwaaba” (’Welcome’) and this is exactly how you will feel when exploring Ghana. Ghana has something for every traveler: from UNESCO Heritage sites, beautiful beaches, tropical forests, lively markets, to preserved wildlife... You’ll never get bored of Ghana!

Day 1 - Arrival

- Arrival at Accra International Airport: private bus transfer to our hotel and check in.
- Bus transfer to the Independence Square – where Ghana celebrates its Independence Day every 6th March.
- Reach the Accra Art & Craft Center and the Kwame - Nkrumah Mausoleum to learn about the first President of Ghana and colonial times.

Day 2 and 3 - CAS project

- Private transfer to the local school for a Welcome ceremony and an introduction to the Headmaster, group leaders and professional workers’ team. Start of the project by groups: masonry, painting and carpentry works are in the plans. You will do much of the work under the careful supervision of the professionals.
iTS will provide you with the construction materials and tools.
- Lunch together with the Ghanaian kids of the school.
- Service work will happen during the morning and the afternoon.

Day 4 - CAS project

- Final day of the Service Project to add the finishing touches. It’s time to say your farewells to the students.
- Lunch together with the Ghanaian kids of the school.
- Farewell ceremony with cultural drumming and dancing, issuance of certificates and local craft-made gifts.

Day 5 - Orphanage & Kakum National Park

- Reach the local orphanage in the Liberian Refugees Settlement. Your support is needed to help improve the lives of the children (like the building of a wooden structure to help offer more classes).
- Drive further and stop at the Kakum National Park for lunch and enjoy the impressive canopy walkway.
- Continue to the coastal town of Elmina - major hub of the slave trade and famous for its colonial heritage- and visit Saint George’s Castle.

Day 6 - Makola market & James Town

- Visit the Aburi Botanical Gardens – if the weather is nice, we may be able to see the Volta Lake.
- Reach the local Makola Market – the biggest one in Accra– and enjoy some shopping time.
- Visit James Town and end at La Pleasure Beach Resort.

Day 7 - Handicapped centre & Drumming

- Visit the New Horizon Special School which provides education for children and vocational training and employment for adults who are intellectually challenged or with other disabilities e.g. spastics, palsy, visually impaired...
- Go to Kwabuete Drumming and Dancing Group Center for drumming lessons.

Day 8 - Departure from Accra

- Check-out and transfer to the International Airport for your flight back home.
